RFQ Notes:
Production of a large steel frame that requires sheetmetal,
tubular stock, and plate stock to be welded and post
machined. Followed by powder coating.
Bidders MUST agree to an early delivery Bonus and a late
delivery Penalty schedule.
- Early Delivery BONUS
Delivery BEFORE the requested delivery date will accrue a
BONUS of one percent of the total contract cost per calendar
day for the first seven days early, up to a maximum BONUS of
7%.
- Late Delivery PENALTY
Delivery AFTER the requested delivery date will accrue a
PENALTY of one percent of the total contract cost per
calendar day for the first seven days late, two percent per
calendar day for the next seven days late, and three percent
per calendar day for the next seven days late, up to a
maximum PENALTY of 42%.
EXAMPLE 1 - If the order is delivered seven calendar days
late, the total invoiceable price will be reduced by seven
percent from the original bid (7 days x 1% = 7%).
EXAMPLE 2 - If the parts are delivered 10 calendar days
late, the invoiced price will be reduced by a total of 13
percent (7 days x 1% + 3 days x 2% = 13%).
EXAMPLE 3 - If the parts are delivered 21 calendar days
late, the total invoicable cost will be 42 percent off the
original bid (7 days x 1% + 7 days x 2% + 7 days x 3% = 42%
MAXIMUM).
