5 Qsine Corporation Limited CALGARY, AB
  • Engineering Services
  • Equipment
  • Fabrication
  • Industrial Design
  • Machining
Qsine specializes in the design and manufacturing of custom machinery. We use 3D CAD to design fabricated and machined products. With in-house metal working tools like:

Machine Shop:

  • Okuma MacTurn 250W 9-Axis Mill/Turn Center
  • Okuma 40x20x20 CNC vertical machining center
  • 16" & 13" manual engine lathes
  • Bridgeport milling machine
The Macturn is a very recent addition. It has a 10" main and 9" sub chucks, 188 tools, in process probing and an automated robotic loader/unloader and a plethora of other productivity options to handle the most demanding jobs. We are using Esprit from DP Technologies to program this complex machine. As strange as it may sound, this is the first and only turning machine in our shop. Hence, it is difficult to for us to justify running pure turned parts in our shop. If you think this machine can help produce your difficult parts, please contact us and we can discuss this machines capabilities in detail. Fabrication & Welding:
  • Accupress 175 ton x 12' brake
  • Accushear 12' x 1/4 shear
  • Pulsed Mig Welder to 450 Amps
  • Hi-Frequency Water Cooled Tig to 350 Amps
  • Omni-Direction 500 lb Weld Positioner
We have the ability to design and manufacture a broad range of products that combine fabrication, machining, hydraulics and electronics.

For fabrication, we mostly work in steel and aluminum but we can do industrial stainless also. Our niche is medium duty, short-run, sheetmetal work in the 14 Ga. to 1/2 range. We do light skid work and a lot of mobile equipment. We do not do HVAC, heavy structural nor high production. In the machine shop we mainly work in steel, aluminum and ductile iron but we can work with most any material required. Again, we focus on short run, medium size work. We can run very small detailed parts with features down to about 0.015". We are not setup for micro work (less than 0.001"), oversize work nor high line-production type work. On the design side, we can design mechanical, hydraulic and electronic systems:

  • Mechanically we are strong with machine design; press formed, sheet metal layout; and light structural design. We normally do not do structural work, standards based engineering or man-lifts and associated equipment.
  • Hydraulically, we generally get involved with high performance systems requiring finesse in the controls. Hydraulic integrated circuits (both design and manufacturing) is one of our specialties.
  • Electronically we design and build custom industrial controls. Mostly in the way of signal conditioners such as amplifiers for reading sensors or driving actuators from digital circuits. We mainly work in the realm of 8 bit microcontrollers laying out single layer circuit boards and developing firmware for the application. The majority of our electronic control systems in the past have been electronic over hydraulic controls.
