Production of a Hub Cover Assemblies . Approximately
15.32" X 9.25" X 7.09". Please check the attached drawing
for details.
the buyer needs quote on as a package of parts V1-06-4S1,
V1-06-4S2
and V1-06-414
Attached are the part drawings for the hub covers. These
covers wrap around a center hub of a 3-blade vertical axis
wind turbine. There are three parts to the lower hub
cover (all the same: V1-06-4S1) and three parts to the
upper hub cover (V1-06-4S2) and then one part to cap the
top of the hub (V1-06-414).
The parts will be made out of sheet steel, the thickness
to be determined by your welding and stamping
requirements. The parts bear no external stress and are
only for an aesthetic purpose. An economic steel around
0.020 is my guess.
The upper and lower hub covers both use the same flat cap
(V1-06-411). This cap is welded to either V1-06-412 or V1-
06-413 to create the assembly V1-06-4S1 or V1-06-4S2. The
weld does not need to be water tight and the process will
be determined by your equipment.
V1-06-411 is a stamped part with simple arcs. Shown on
the drawing is a small lip to create a spot welding
surface if required.
V1-06-412 an V1-06-413 are identical except for a shorter
length skirt. They may both be made from the same punch
then one sheared to reduce its length. The parts are then
rolled (but in opposite directions) before welding to V1-
06-411.
V1-06-414 is a round stamped part with three holes on the
full lip around the circumference.
The completed assemblies will then be powder coated
standard white.
Please give me a quote for production of 100 complete
turbine covers:
6 (V1-06-411) x 100 = 600 Qty
3 (V1-06-412) x 100 = 300 Qty
3 (V1-06-413) x 100 = 300 Qty
1 (V1-06-414) x 100 = 100 Qty
This is the initial order. Projections for production is
1000 turbines per year. Hard tooling for all parts is
requested to reduce the per part cost.
Modifications to reduce cost are welcome. Please call me
with any questions that have and please include a lead
time in the quotation.
