RFQ Notes:
Fabricate 20 Ga. Galvanized Steel boxes measuring
approximately 61 inches long, 10
inches wide by 2.5 inches deep with cover.
Boxes shall be primed (pickled) and painted.
Each box shall have three hinges and a hasp for the top
lid.
Boxes should be able to
structurally support approx. 100 pounds of rock with
minimal distortion during transport.
Boxes will be used to store 2" diameter rock core
samples.
A drawing is available for your
review if there is an interest.
Total quantity required is 1500. Delivery will be a
factor in
determining the successful bidder.
Please provide an estimate of production rate in your
quote. Units should be shipped in quantities of 100 to
New York City.

Boxes to be painted one primer and one finish coat inside and out. Color to be black or grey.
Materials subject to Buy America clauses in Federal and NY State procurement regulations.
Compartmentalization of box can be done by separate insert tack welded into structure of
the box as longer as box is structurally capable of supporting weight of cores without
distortion.
