Procurement : Our supply chain solutions comprise global procurement, including low-cost sourcing, supplier STA, supplier development & project management. We will procure from customer designated suppliers or our own supplier list. We manage 500 suppliers worldwide.
Projects: We provide late configuration with 100% quality verification of delivered parts. We provide outsourced manufacturing services for mechanical/ electromechanical sub assembly of Chassis, Fuel, Cooling, Power Train & Body systems. We will proactively provide VAVE solutions giving retained savings through improved processes and productivity for our key customers. We provide full PPAP/ PSW sample approval processes and timing plans for our own and our suppliers products.
From Birmingham we are suppliers of more than 1.3m units a year in 80 final assembly variants to Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin & BMW with mechanical & electro-mechanical sub assemblies of fuel systems & cooling systems, including fuel filters, thermostat hoses, oil cooler assemblies, air & water coolers, fuel & brake pipes & hoses. Despite the very high no. of assembly variants our Quality average metric is approx 50PPM. This unique achievement is made possible by our commitment to error proofing, and right-first time build processes and in particular our unique Poke Yoke assembly jigs which guarantee delivered quality and maintains our Q1 & TS16949 Quality supplier accreditations.
From Coventry, we provide kitting & packing services for Aftermarket. Our main customers are Ford and Land Rover with an annual turnover of over £13 million. Suppling a wide range of products into the aftermarket including service, campaign, and dealer kits with parts ranging from timing belts, shock absorbers and ball joints through to electrical harnesses and gasket sets. We undertake full supply chain management for the customer (enabling them to reduce their own supplier base) with currently over 400 suppliers based around the world. We are able to provide a re-sourcing service with local, European, American and contacts in the emerging markets of India and China. There is the facility to undertake light assembly work both for OEM and Aftermarket customers. At present we assemble pedal boxes for IBC and toolkits with exceptionally good quality ratings from our customers.

From our Specialist Vehicles site in North Staffs (Stoke-on-Trent) we provide a low volume/high complexity sub-assembly, kitting and supply chain management services to the Construction, Commercial, Agricultural and Leisure vehicle industry. We operate a JIT delivery service to our Customers, on a free-issue or procured part basis. Remploy North Staffs are specifically aiming to develop Re-Manufacturing of engine, fuel & chassis systems with new customers. Existing key customers include JCB & Caterpillar. Suitable potential new customers could include Rail, Marine & Public Transport sector industries.
Our Automotive Interior Trim division in Derby & Huddersfield is a major manufacturer of vehicle interior & trim components, providing cutting, sewing and assembly for the UK automotive market of seating, headrest, armrest and door/ roof/ console trim items in PVC, fabrics & also sewing capability in high quality leather.
Capacity to cut & sew up to 5 million pa. headrests, armrests, gaiters, cushion covers & seat covers. We provide CNC & press cutting of fabrics up to 1.8m width of laminates, fabrics & PVC. In sewing, we operate 100+ flatbed, lockstitch & twin needle postbed sewing machines. Remploy represents a highly competitive UK option for OEMs requiring high quality sewn finish on A-surface vehicle interiors including twin needle & decorative stitching for door casing, centre console & fascia trim & cubby boxes. Full service includes supplier development, sourcing, product development & project management. Remploy Interior Trim offers a cost effective and high quality alternative solution to UK based automotive OEMs in an industry which has seen increased sourcing to Low Cost Countries. This business will be fully TS16949 accredited in early 2008.
From South Wales in Bridgend, we supply our local customers – Ford, Arvin Meritor, Harman, & Bergstrom with electrical wiring harnesses, cables, switchgear, electrical control boxes and engine & brake system assemblies and kits. Based in a modern factory occupying 20,000 sq ft, we are located right on M4 (J35) we are well placed for the business network across Wales & Southern England. Our experience includes assembly of commercial & industrial lighting systems, refrigeration system wiring & control boxes & bespoke looms for leisure, transport & marine industries.
