PMMA material (Polymethylmethacrylate, aka Acrylite, Diakon, Kamax, Lucite, Plexiglas, Vedril) Supplier may suggest alternate but material must have the following characteristics: Index of Refraction ~ 1.5 (or higher) Transmit ~95% of visible light 400-800nm wavelength Lifetime at least 10 years in direct sunlight Tollerate tempertures up to 80C
The part is a cavityless solid.
Production anticipated Q2 04. Would like cycle times of 4- 6 weeks, but piece part cost is more critical.
No packaging of these parts is necessary, except to ensure delivery in an undamaged state.
