RFQ Notes:
The only thing that is really critically important for this part is the flatness and color. It is going to be used as a spacer element between a glass codewheel and a hub on a CD motor spindle. Glue will be put in the smaller holes. The 0.430 hole mates to hub diameter. The larger holes are for clearance to features on the hub and not critical to size. I would like the thickness to be nominally .032" +/- 000 but specified .002" tolerance to try and keep cost down. However, flatness is much more important than thickness. Color must be a dull and dark, black is best. Material is suggested as steel with black oxide to obtain the color. This part could be any material, as long as it was dark non reflective surface and flat. The surface color is necessary absorb as much light as possible.
