rounded and there is a round boss protruding from the top.

different ways. One is to start with a piece of 2.5" round
and then face the two sides down to achieve the 1"
thickness. The other method is fixture a piece of 1 X 2.5"
flat bar and machine the round features. If using flatbar,
incomplete cleanup of the 2.490 O.D. is acceptable due to
the material being slightly undersize. See the print for
further details.
