Part is turned and drilled from a dowel. Also interested in having supplier hand buff (may need tumble finish first). Part is approximately 2.4" long by 0.75" diameter (see scanned image attached). We can provide samples and raw material upon request.
Part is made from DymondWood or PakkaWood, which is wood impregnated with a phenolic resin. Buyer will provide material initially, then supplier will purchase. Hardness is similar to Aluminum, corian, or micarta. Usually requires carbide tipped tooling. Machining does create dust.
