Established in the 1930’s Davis Machine Works (DMW) is a locally owned job shop, metal fabrication, and machine shop facility. Davis Machine Works has been under the current management since 1987. It expanded and was moved to its current location in 1993. Twenty-two craftsmen and five support personnel are employed in the approximately 30,000 square feet facility.
DMW has CNC and conventional machine shop equipment.
We have the capacity to do on site contracting work, on site maintenance, and installation of equipment.
With a combination of twenty-six mig, tig, spot, and arc welders (120-400 amps), we are capable of handling all your welding needs (aluminum, steel, and stainless steel) in our shop or at your work site.
We have shearing capacity of up to one quarter inch thick by twelve feet in length. Our brake capacity is ten feet at one hundred fifty tons. We utilize rolls, pipe benders and threaders, plasma cutters, pattern torches, iron workers, and saws to meet your fabrication needs.
Our machine shop is equipped with eleven lathes including engine, turrent, and CNC. We have eleven mills vertical, horizontal, and CNC. All have necessary attachments and tooling to handle most any job. We also offer heat treating on many metals.
Welding, turning, milling, grinding, on site maintenance, and installation of equipment have been the foundation of our success for over seventy years. Established in a time when new technology was as simple as an indoor water closet, DMW has utilized the excellent institutions in our vicinity by offering our employees on-going education in AutoCad, GibbsCam, welding, and machine shop.
Our management department has over ninety-five years combined experience. This, and the fact that we have equipped our shop with the most modern CNC equipment available, enables us to meet all your needs to be successful in today’s ever changing market.
