RFQ Notes:
Production of a electronics housing cover. Approximately
67.2mm wide x 94.1mm long. Please see drawing for specific
dimensions. Delivery dates are adjustable.
NOTE: Thickness tolerance +/- .002" (deviation from print).
NOTE: Ink marking is acceptable. If needed, quote "No Marking" in notation.
The buyer expects to ship 50K+ of these parts in 2006.
Ramping up from 1K/week March 3rd to 2K/week beginning
April. They can order 10K right now with acceptable
prototype.
Dyneium is buying the square sheared material for .14 each
from a material distributor, then we gang mill the contour
in batches of 100. They expect to pay more for the blanked
contours.
They are looking for a supplier to provide as a blanked
part. Please quote with and without holes using 5052 H32
satin or matt finish. They have received samples from 2 separate
suppliers that use CNC rotary turret punches, but the
quality is not good enough because
of small burs within the contour. They tried Laser and
water-jet, but these processes are too expensive.
Suggestions for other manufacturing methods are welcome.
