RFQ Notes:

File compressed with winzip  www.winzip.com This part is a small cam. It is  connected to the (Combined hub-shank)  part which I have also uploaded to this  website for quotation. See the attached  file named (cam-curve-2D-detail) for  detail on the cam curve. The file  contains different layers you can turn  on/off for different information. Surface finish is not critical, part is  hidden from end user. The actual cam  curve that contacts the follower (left  side of part in drawing) must be  reasonably smooth. A good machined  surface will be fine. Part can be  machined from 3/16" thick flat plate  stock with no machining to thickness.  The depth of the .6" deep #2-56 tap can  be decreased to .37" deep if needed.  However, deeper is better.  The outer corners at the bottom of the  part at the .875" dimension can be  sharp if this can assist machining. The  inside corner just underneath the  lower "cam lobe" (right side of  the .481" dimension) can also be sharp  if needed.  I am also interested in pricing on  quantities of 100 to 500 and 1,000. At  present, I am interested in pricing on  a quantity of 5 pieces for prototypes.  Delivery date is flexible I would appreciate any suggestions on  the most cost effective way to produce  the part in production quantities. I  would appreciate any suggestions on any  way to reduce the cost of the part. Please let me thank you in advance for  your quote. Sincerely, John A. Yost
