RFQ Notes:

RF Jaw is used in tube sealers to transmit RF energy through the jaw to the tube to form a complete seal. Generally, we have part machined after casting from another supplier. Mold is fired at 1675F, with Ceramic attached onto a wax tree. The Brass, when poured is 1750-1850F. It is critical that ceramic is heated very slowly ~8 hours before pouring brass. Parts are cooled in sand ~1-2 days. Temperatures, heating, and cooling are critical to prevent fallout from cracking in the ceramic.
