I am looking for someone to quote on a mold to produce a
few hundred samples of a plastic (probably styrene) solid
handle .100 in diameter, 6 inches long
that resembles a cotton tipped applicator.
Typically, a cotton tipped applicator is 3/16 in
diameter and tapers to the handle in 5/8 of an
inch.
This would be tipped with new fiber
process and used for detection of Strep throat.
Upon the approval of the diagnostic
companies, this item has potential of several to tens of
millions used per year.
I supplied a sketch of the swab stick in Excel.
An injection molding facility near our plant in Skowhegan,
Maine would be ideal.
