RFQ Notes:

After learning that there were problems with our files, we decided to remake them as step files and also to make simple 2D dimensioned drawings from the model.  We are resubmitting the job with these improved files and also extending the dates for both the RFQ close and the final part delivery.  Note on PDF files: to view in the correct orientation in Adobe Acrobat Reader, you will probably have to use the ’View’ menu ’Rotate Clockwise’ option. Part Description:  Five part injection die approximately 8" x 5.5" x 4.75" total size, CNC milled from 7075-T651 aluminum and 4140  steel. The three outer plates, shown in the model in  purple, blue, and green, are to be cut from 3 pieces of  aluminum stock which we will provide, 8" x 5.5" x 2.5"; 8"  x 5.5" x 1"; and 8" x 5" x 1.75".  The 2 split center  diagonally articulating plates, shown in the model in red,  are cut from 1 piece of steel stock 8" x 5.5" x 1/2", which  we will also provide.   Tightest tolerance is +/- .001" See attachments for exact geometry and dimensions.  Please  let us know if you need additional information.
