RFQ Notes:
Production of a 6 & 8 cup bowl family mold. This is a two
cavity mold with one cavity for a 6 cup bowl and one cavity
for the 8 cup bowl. Mold quote only. EAU
of the parts will be 100,000. Molder has machines of all
shapes and sizes so the actual size of the mold is not
factor. Mold bases should be DME #2 or equivalent
cavities and cores should be p-20 steel. All components
are to be made or purchased to so they can be replaced by
purchasing forum s. Companies. Examples are leader pins,
bushings, ejector pins, locating ring, bolts, etc.
Cavities and cores need to be polished to a #2 finish. Hot
tips and hot runners must be of a design that US
replacement components are available. Incoe are preferred
but will consider other manufacturers. Locating rings
are 3.990". Cycle times are very important to US molders.
Labor is not cheap. Molder uses cooling water down to 45
deg. Fmolds should be designed with the maximum size and
number of water lines possible.
