Future Engineering, founded in 1988, started with journeymen mold makers as lead designers using AutoCAD and plastic injection mold design as the primary focus. Future Engineering purchased its first Unigraphics station in 1993 and added product design and development to their list of services. This marked the beginning of the synchronous design process - mold builders designing plastic products, and the molds to produce them.
Future Engineering's portfolio of services continued to grow and the synchronous design process evolved to include machine design, finite element analysis, moldflow analysis, rapid prototype, and design & engineering consulting.
