RFQ Notes:
Production of a square punch. Punch is approximately 0.25"
square x 0.75" long. Please see drawing for specific
dimensions. Buyer has the possiblity of getting a couple
of substantial orders which would bottle neck their CNC.
The buyer purchases the 1/4 key stock already cut to
length and they would machine the notch in it. They have a
fixture, which they would supply, to hold 10 punches at a
time. There are 5 holding blocks on this fixture (2
punches per holder) so once the first 2 punches are done,
they can be taken out and put 2 more in place - so the
machine should be able to run continuously without
stopping. Buyer has attached 2 pictures of the fixture.
The 1st picture shows the whole fixture which measures
2.5" x 13". The allen wrench tool they use to loosen the
clamps is shown resting in front. The 2nd picture shows
two stations holding 2 studs in each station. The back
part of the fixture is stationary with half of the
square cut out. The front blocks move in and out riding
on two dowels and have the other half of the square cut
into them. The pictures show the punch studs already
mounted in place. Any more questions, please call the
