The specific Machining process that was specified is CNC Machining. |
 |
The specified material is Metal-Aluminum. |
 |
This RFQ was for 1 Sets. The estimated annual usage is 100. |
RFQ Notes:
Milling of a combustion and head set.
Please see .jpg file for geometry.
This project contains 4 parts: CombustionHalf1,
CombustionHalf2, Head1, and Head2.
The approximate dimensions are as follows:
CombustionHalf1 and CombustionHalf2: 6 inches wide, 7
inches long, and 1.75 inches tall
Head1 and Head2: 5.346 inches wide, 5.5 inches long, 1.75
inches tall
The zip files have 5 CAD drawings each. A combined drawing
with all the parts together and
4 drawings of each part individually. Each zip contains
the same drawings but in different
CAD formats. They are iges (.igs), step (.stp), sat
version 14 (.sat), and an older
version of sat version 11 (.sat).
These parts are being posted together because they use the
same material and have similar
dimensions which should allow these parts to be machined
out of the same piece material
and minimize setup times. The combined drawing
(CombustionHeadSet) shows what I think is
the most logical machining configuration but you are free
to machine it however you see fit.
The tolerance for a face on a piece should be +/- 0.003 of
an inch and between faces it
should be +/- 0.005 of an inch. All holes should be milled
and none of them need to be
threaded. All thrue holes that can be milled from the top
face should be. Both the top and
bottom faces of each part should be machined. The top
surface of CombustionHalf1 and
CombustionHalf2 should be smooth and care should be taken
not to scratch any part of the
top surface after it has been machined.
If supplier has any question feel free to contact buyer.
