RFQ Notes:
This RFQ is for an Engine Block.
Approx 13.996" long x 5.446" wide.
The material is 6061 Aluminium and it is not a casting
since this is at this stage a prototype.
The dimensions are listed in the drawings. All
tapped holes should be assumed to use a standard right
handed tap unless otherwise stated.
All tapped holes should be started with an end mill.
Drilling is acceptable but if that is
used the hole must be started with an end mill to ensure
proper centering.
Both the top
and bottom faces of this piece should be machined.
All tolerances are plus or minus 3
thousandths.
No Honing is required on this project. I plan to have a
seperate place do
that work but if you have the equipment and would like to
quote that also you can.
I can provide either 2d or 3d CAD drawings to the winning
supplier that can be used
directly in your CAM system (if you have one).
