What is Bellfx?
Bellfx (“fx” pronounced as in effects) is a full-service design and fabrication shop located in San Fernando, California. Founded by the company’s president Brent Bell,
Bellfx manufactures precision parts in its recently-relocated 3,500 square foot CNC machining facility.
What Services Does Bellfx Offer?
From concept to completion, Bellfx offers a
full-service suite of design and fabrication services including:
• CNC Turning. We use the top-of-the-line HAAS TL25 machine with a 10-inch spindle, 5-inch sub-spindle, C
axis, and live tooling.
• CNC Milling. We use the HAAS VF3 CNC machine with 4th and 5th axis simultaneous cutting capabilities and Renishaw probing.
•
Value-added Design Services including Product design, Drafting and 3-D solid modeling, Computer Integrated Manufacturing:
- CAD: Includes SolidWorks Office and AutoDesk. We
handle file uploads in any type of standard CAD format via the web
- CAM: MasterCAM Mill level 3, Lathe, Solids and Design
In addition, we work with a network of
manufacturing partners to provide our clients with the following services:
- Chemical etching - Water jet cutting - Electronic & lighting
- Rapid prototyping
- Laser cutting & etching - Heat treating - Vacuum forming - Plating & anodizing

Brent Bell began his business by making elaborate stage props for a variety of motion pictures, television, and advertising clients. Among his credits are motion pictures including The
Cat in the Hat, Stuart Little, and Poltergeist, television shows including The Drew Carey Show and Home Improvement and commercial advertising for Cheer Detergent, Mercedes Benz, and Mountain Dew.
Prior to launching Bellfx, he worked for Walt Disney Studios for 9 years in the company’s sheet metal department where he was a shop foreman. Brent’s extensive work in the area of Computer Aided
Design includes creating sophisticated CAD renderings for clients including Santa Anita Racetrack.
