What is roll forming?
Roll forming is a metal forming process in which metal passes
through a series of rollers specially shaped. These rollers
form (roll form) the metal into the desired shape as it passes
over the rollers. thus roll forming the metal. Roll formed shapes
can include roll formed angles, roll formed tubes, roll formed
C-channel, and and roll formed U-channel.
Many materials are commonly used in roll forming including composites,
ferrous metals, as well as aluminum brass, copper, lead, zinc
and tin. Roll forming is used to produce parts with a constant
cross section.
