What is metal drawing?
The metal drawing process is done with a sheet metal drawing
machine.
In metal drawing or deep drawing, flat metal sheets or blanks
are stretched over a plug. This plug is pulled into a die cavity
that shapes the metal, thus metal drawing (deep drawing).. Shapes
usually formed by metal drawing or deep drawing are cylindrical
or box shaped parts such as beverage cans, pots and pans, containers
of all shapes and sizes and automobile body panels.
