Heavy fabrication typcially refers to structual steel fabrications that are large and consequently, heavy, thus the term heavy fabrication. Heavy fabrication normally entails the welding and joining of multiple steel plates to form a structure per a design. Heavy fabrication requires specialized equimpment for tooling, moving and lifting the heavy fabrications.
