Project Manager


The Information Technology Project Manager is responsible for managing IT development projects on a day-to-day basis, coordinating tasks and resources, tracking and controlling issues, communicating project status and ensuring the project meets objectives, scope, cost and schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for U.S. development projects
  • Takes project from original concept through final implementation
  • Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services
  • Helps define project scope and objectives
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Works with QA to ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems
  • Provides all required status updates to project team, users, and various levels of management as appropriate

 

Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ yrs experience in Computer Science
  • 2+ yrs Project Management experience
  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred
  • Strong technical expertise in Computer Science
  • In-depth understanding of Software Development Lifecycles
  • Experience working within and leading development teams
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management Methodology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to interface with users at all levels of the company

JAVA Developer


Responsibilities:
  • Produce new J2EE / JSP functionality and new applications primarily for MFG.com's internal deliverables and tools.
  • Assess user requirements and functional specifications to develop new user-side applications and features.
  • Maintain and support existing MFG.com internal and external applications.
  • Assist Product Maintenance group with providing application support:
  1. Design and implement code changes to provide solutions, quality assurance, and testing.
  2. Communicating with staff and/or external users to investigate issues, and provide information/training solutions. Includes use of Ticket System, corporate email, and phone.
  3. Monitor incoming error emails, server alerts, and server status to determine error priority and to offer solutions.
  4. May assist with server updates, software installs and server administration where required.
  5. Provide usability testing, assist with defining technology and code requirements.
  6. Train Jr. Application Developer in MFG.com architecture, usage, data structure, and best coding practices.
  7. Assist with overall supervision of Jr. Application Developer with code deliverables, and communicate requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ yrs experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • J2EE, JSP, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & XML, XSLT, MS SQL SERVER, Flash
  • Strong written and verbal communicational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.

Inside Sales

Experience in manufacturing, selling software and/or information are a plus. Requires database management to organize outgoing telephone sales from marketing leads, set appointments, and generate new leads. Must have proven experience prospecting, presenting, and closing over the phone and excellent PC and Internet skills.
