Triac / Thyristor Product Overview
A Thyristor is a device that has two stable states, a high-resistance, low-current "off" state and a low-resistance, high-current "on" state. A Triac is a thyristor designed for electronic control of the current supplied to a circuit, used esp. in dimmers for lighting systems.
